WHY CHOOSE ME?
I’m Alex, and I have always been a weird kid.
Since high school, I stood out from the crowd and never really fitted in.
I was the awkward, lanky kid that towered over everyone at 5’11, while music ranging from Slipknot to AFI to My Chemical Romance blared from my headphones.
I didn’t wear the right clothes, listen to the right music, or follow the same trends as everyone else I saw around me. To this day, I’m regularly asked if I own a single item of clothing that isn’t black (a few colourful pieces have infiltrated the wardrobe over the years). If you walk into my flat you’ll see I have an impressive collection of Star Wars and Batman merchandise for a woman in her thirties.

But it is the quirks and weirdness that make me who I am, and that made me stand out from against the crowd.
The truth is this...
Being different isn’t a weakness, it’s a game-changing strength. It will make you memorable and get you noticed.
I started my branding agency, Strange in 2020 and LOVED the process of building my own little rebel empire. No suits, no jargon, just a glitchy, Goth business that looked nothing like anything else I’d seen elsewhere.
I realised I didn’t want to stop there. If I could build a business that scaled from nothing, I could show other people how to build something they are really proud of, WITHOUT following the rules.
I realised I wanted to show people how to embrace their authentic selves, how to make their personality shine through and build their own maverick businesses.
I made it my mission to inspire and unleash the potential of outliers, underdogs and renegades like you, so you can carve out your place in the world.
That’s why I am SO PUMPED that you’re reading this.
I want you to live your life on your own terms, loving every work day and building a business you’re insanely proud of.
